Max Method LLC ("Company") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). This HIPAA Notice outlines our responsibilities and practices regarding the handling, use, and disclosure of PHI.
Our Responsibilities
Max Method LLC provides health insurance software that may contain PHI from customers and agents. As a Business Associate under HIPAA, we are required to:
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of PHI
- Implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect PHI
- Report any unauthorized use or disclosure of PHI to Covered Entities
- Ensure that our employees, agents, and subcontractors adhere to HIPAA regulations
Use and Disclosure of PHI
We may use and disclose PHI for purposes related to our services, including but not limited to:
- Providing and managing software services
- Supporting customer and agent inquiries
- Improving software functionality and security
Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
All agents and entities utilizing the HIPAA-protected features of our software are required to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Max Method LLC. The BAA outlines the responsibilities and obligations of both parties to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Your Rights
Agents and customers have the following rights regarding their PHI:
- Right to Access: Access and obtain a copy of your PHI.
- Right to Amend: Request amendments to PHI believed incorrect or incomplete.
- Right to an Accounting of Disclosures: Request accounting of PHI disclosures made by Max Method LLC.
Complaints
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with Max Method LLC or with the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.

Changes to This Notice
We reserve the right to change this HIPAA Notice at any time. Any changes will be effective for all PHI that we maintain at the time of the change. We will provide a revised HIPAA Notice on our website and notify you through appropriate channels.
