Try the New Inbox and Contact Details UI Now (Beta Access in Labs)
We've completely redesigned the Inbox and Contact Details pages to give you more screen space, faster search capabilities, and better organization. The best part? You can try it right now before it becomes the default interface on February 15th.
This update is currently available in Labs - our beta testing environment where you can preview new features before they roll out to everyone. Here's what changed and how to enable it.
What's New: A Cleaner, More Powerful Interface
Redesigned Inbox Layout
The new inbox gives you more room to work with:
Smaller, more efficient buttons - Less clutter, more screen real estate for actual conversations
Additional viewing options - Click the options on the right-hand side to access expanded contact information without leaving the inbox
Streamlined conversation management - Everything you need is still there, just organized better
The goal is simple: see more conversations at a glance and access contact details faster.
Searchable Contact Details Page
This is the game-changer. The updated Contact Page now includes:
Powerful search bar - Type to instantly find specific fields like NBI numbers, policy details, or any custom field
Better field organization - Contact information is grouped logically, making it easier to scan and update
Improved sorting options - Find what you need without scrolling through endless fields
If you've ever wasted time hunting for a specific piece of information buried in a contact record, this update solves that problem.
Enhanced Activity and Task Manager
On the right-hand side of every contact page, you'll find an upgraded Activity and Task Manager:
Document management - Add and organize documents directly from the contact page
Association tracking - Link contacts to policies, companies, other contacts, and sales opportunities
Activity history - See everything that's happened with this contact in one place
This is especially useful during renewals or when multiple team members are working with the same client - everyone can see the full context immediately.
Easy Exit and Navigation
The new interface includes intuitive navigation:
Click the X to close conversation windows and return to your inbox
Switch between contacts without losing your place
Everything loads faster and feels more responsive
Why This Matters
Here's the reality: the old contact details page was functional but cluttered. Finding specific information required too much scrolling and clicking. The new design prioritizes speed and clarity - especially important when you're on the phone with a client and need to pull up their NBI number or policy details immediately.
The cleaner inbox layout means you can handle more conversations in less time. The searchable contact fields mean no more "hold on, let me find that" moments with clients.
How to Enable It Now (Labs Access)
Important: This becomes the default interface on February 15th. Enabling it now in Labs lets you get comfortable with the changes before they go live for everyone.
Step-by-step:
Navigate to Settings in your CRM
Select Labs from the menu
Find Conversations and Contact Detail Page Update
Toggle the switch to ON
Refresh your browser
That's it. You're now using the new interface.
Getting Comfortable with the Changes
Here's how to explore the new features:
Open your Inbox - Notice the cleaner layout and additional viewing options on the right
Click into a contact - Try the search bar at the top to find specific fields
Check the Activity section - Review how documents and associations are organized
Test the navigation - Open and close conversations to see how the flow works
Spend 10 minutes clicking around. The interface is intuitive, but hands-on exploration will help you adjust faster.
What If You Find a Bug?
Since this is a beta feature in Labs, you might encounter issues. If something doesn't work as expected:
Document what happened (screenshots help)
Report it through our support channel
If it's blocking your work, you can toggle the feature OFF in Labs and revert to the old interface until February 15th
Your feedback during this beta period helps us fix issues before the feature goes live for everyone.
What Happens on February 15th?
On February 15th, this new interface becomes the default for all users. The Labs toggle will disappear, and everyone will automatically use the updated Inbox and Contact Details pages.
Getting familiar with it now means zero disruption when the switch happens.
